For the second straight week, the Heritage football team came up with big plays in the fourth quarter to win a tight game.

Shawn Wara's 3-yard touchdown run with 3:31 remaining gave the Coyotes a 42-35 lead, and the Heritage defense sealed the game by stopping Little Elm on fourth down on the next drive. Heritage then ran out the clock for a 42-35 win at FISD Memorial Stadium.

Heritage improved its record to 4-5 overall and 3-3 in 5-5A Division I. Wara and Cameron Rose each had two touchdown runs in the game for Heritage, and receiver Kyle Bradford had another standout game. In addition to five catches for 85 yards and two runs for 42 yards, Bradford returned one kickoff 92 yards to set up a touchdown just before halftime, and then returned another kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Heritage wraps up its regular season on Thursday (Nov. 7) with a game against Lone Star at the Ford Center.
